RDO challenges and enlightens public perception of older people through musical presentations performed by seasoned artists for audiences of all ages. RDO envisions a future where an individual’s perceived abilities are not defined by their numeric age.

Some opera and theatre companies seem to believe that people over 55 have reached or passed their artistic sell-by date. This is very frustrating to those of us in that age group. It also cheats audiences of the chance to hear seasoned professional performers who still have a lot to offer. To be a fulfilled human being -- to live out my own raison d'etre -- I need to work. To work at a professional level with other professionals, and to provide an audience with entertainment enjoy.
Thus, RDO is an artistic lifesaver. It gives me a chance to practice my craft when not all companies are willing to do so. It gives me opportunities to put all those years of experience to good use. It's a company run by professionals, who hire experienced professionals, to put on good work for the audience. And it's fun.
